Jagran correspondent, Srinagar. After nearly 27 days of uncertainty and worry, a 69-year-old man from Srinagar, who went missing in Delhi, has returned home safely. Let us tell you that Ghulam Qadir Burki, a resident of Khanyar area of Srinagar, was missing in New Delhi since December 2, 2025. According to his family members, he was last seen near Bogal Market in Kashmiri Park area of Delhi at 5:00 pm, after which he went missing. His disappearance had caused serious concern among family members, who subsequently contacted authorities and appealed for help from the public. After the disappearance was reported, the family's appeal was widely circulated on social media platforms and published by several news agencies. Meanwhile, a significant breakthrough came when Yameen, a fruit vendor from Delhi, saw the post and recognized the elderly man. She immediately contacted the family and informed the authorities, leading to coordinated efforts to locate Burki. With the combined efforts of social media users, media persons, police and concerned citizens, Burki was successfully located after about four weeks.
