Online data, health and information about the animals of Prayagraj including their owners will be available.

Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. How is the health of the animal? Is she sick? When was she inseminated and when was she given which vaccine? This complete details of each animal will be uploaded on the portal of National Digital Live Stock Mission of the Animal Husbandry Department. This will help the department in bringing vaccination, artificial insemination and other facilities and schemes on the ground.

The work of animal husbandry department is being digitized

The work of the Animal Husbandry Department is gradually being digitized. There is already a system for online monitoring of expenses and payments on protected cows in government permanent and temporary cow shelters. Now preparations are being made to include every information of every animal in the departmental portal.

Employees will feed data

Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Shivnath Yadav said that an employee in every village will be given the responsibility for data feeding of animals. Apart from the livestock extension officers of the Animal Husbandry Department, secretaries, Panchayat assistants and other employees posted in Gram Panchayats will also be deployed. Initially, the employees will go to the house of each cattle owner and collect complete details of their animals. Then we will upload it on the portal.

Monitoring will be done at district and block level

After this, as the animals get vaccinated, artificial insemination or treatment etc., it will also be fed on the portal. This data feeding will be monitored regularly. This monitoring will be done at two levels, district and block.

CVO will be the secretary of the committee

At the district level, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. In this the Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) will be the secretary. Apart from this, other officers including DD Agriculture have been made members. At the block level, a committee headed by the SDM will review the work. BDO, Veterinarian, ADO Panchayat and ADO Agriculture will be members in this. CVO said that data feeding will be started after the end of SIR campaign.
