He shared this information among the unemployed youth and farmers of his panchayat after attending a two-day district level mushroom production training organized by the Agricultural Technology Agency (ATMA).
He told that mushroom is a storehouse of nutrients. It contains 25 to 30 percent protein, which is of better quality than meat, fish and eggs. It is also said to be beneficial for heart, liver and kidney.
Block Technical Manager of Atma, Mukesh Kumar said that a total of 11 women and 24 male farmers, including seven women from Chandchaur East Panchayat of the block, have been trained in modern methods of mushroom production. Its objective is to increase awareness about mushroom production in every village and to encourage production with new technology, so that producers can get many times more profit than the cost.
He said that in the coming time, a list of people is also being prepared for training in beekeeping. Whereas Block Atma President Suryakant Chaudhary congratulated the participants who returned after the training and said that they will share their experiences with other people of the village.
