Voters become predictors, puzzle over figures
Today, booth-wise voting figures were discussed more than newspaper headlines at the intersections of Kapali. In every street and locality, voters are now seen solving the equations of victory and defeat like an election analyst.
The competition is not like a 'thorn', it is like a 'saw'
The mood of the voters also appeared different this time. Abdul Kalam of Ward 21 said in a philosophical tone that this time the contest is not like a 'thorn' but like a 'saw', which can cut anyone's political cards. According to Ritesh Mahato of Kapali Basti, even though the voting was quiet, now the restlessness and noise of victory can be clearly felt inside the hearts.
The eyes of all the area residents including Sheikh Hasibul Rahman of Ward 16 are now fixed on 27th February. Counting of votes will take place on the same day and it will be clear who will be crowned as the new leader of Kapali. Till then, the round of discussions and taste of tea is going to continue like this in every street of Kapali.
