Digital Desk, New Delhi. Gujarat Police has busted a major cyber fraud network and arrested 10 people, including bank employees. The gang was involved in embezzlement of Rs 719 crore in inter-state and international cyber fraud.

According to officials, the accused were connected to cyber criminals based in Dubai and China. Investigation by Gandhinagar-based Cyber ​​Security Excellence Center revealed that this gang used to deposit cyber fraud money from all over the country into open accounts using fake Aadhaar and PAN, after which it was converted into cash and cryptocurrency and sent to Dubai and China.

The stolen amount was sent out through check withdrawal, online app, crypto transactions and Angadiya. According to the official statement, the police detected this gang through technical analysis.

Fraud committed in 26 states

A total of 1,594 cyber fraud incidents have been carried out by the gang in 26 states and six union territories. Of these, maximum 300 cases are from Maharashtra and 203 cases are from Tamil Nadu. Similarly, this gang victimized 88 people in Uttar Pradesh and 74 people in Delhi.
