Jagran correspondent, Hapur. A video of a man performing a stunt by leaving the steering wheel of a moving car in Babugarh police station area of Hapur went viral on the internet media on Thursday.
After the video surfaced, the traffic police took strict action and issued a challan of Rs 29 thousand from the car concerned.
According to the information, the video broadcast is said to be from near village Rasoolpur. In the video, two youths are seen standing on the roof of a moving car and performing dangerous stunts. This stunt was not only risky for the lives of the youth but could also pose a serious threat to the safety of other people walking on the road.
A continuous campaign is being run by the local police and traffic police against the stunt people, despite this some people are not desisting from their antics.
CO Traffic Rahul Yadav said that after the video was broadcast, immediate cognizance of the matter was taken. Traffic in-charge Naresh Kumar was instructed to take action, after which the vehicle was identified and a challan of Rs 29 thousand was issued.
He appealed to the people to drive safely by following traffic rules. Strict action will be taken against drivers who ignore the rules.
