Darshan will start first in supplementary temples.

Jagran correspondent, Ayodhya. There will be a need for additional archakas when darshan starts in all the supplementary temples of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, but Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust is considering starting the darshan first, the appointment of priests will be done later to determine the regular service. At present, in all the other temples including Ram temple, only 20 pre-appointed archakas are serving various deities.

In the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Lalla and Ram Parivar, the priests are on regular duty, whereas in the supplementary temples, worship is being conducted in the morning and evening but no one's service is scheduled regularly.

At present, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is giving darshan of only Ramlala and Ram Parivar to the visitors. Preparations are on to start darshan in the six supplementary temples built in the walls of the complex and the Sheshavatar temple built outside it. Along with these, darshan will also start in Saptarshi temples of Ramayana period.

The Trust had initially planned the darshan in February, but due to ongoing work in the park, this plan was postponed. Now, there is a plan to start darshan after the Nava Samvatsar celebrations which is going to be held on March 19 on Varsha Pratipada.

Meanwhile, the need for additional priests is also being felt. The reason is that out of the 20 priests already appointed, five priests each remain on duty regularly in two shifts at Ramlala and Ram Parivar.

Priests perform worship at the seven supplementary temples and Kuber Mound in the morning and evening. Once the darshan starts, regular services of two priests will have to be scheduled. For this the Trust will require an additional minimum of two dozen Archakas.

In this regard, Trustee Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra says, there will be a need for archakas, but darshan will be started first. There will be no hindrance in the way of darshan due to the need of archakas.

In the supplementary temples, regular worship is taking place after the consecration of the idols, hence the Archakas will be appointed only after training as per the resolution passed in the Trust meeting. Ram temple administrator Gopal Rao also said that no plan has been made yet regarding the appointment of priests.
