'Conspiracy to kill me... not even given food in jail', Pappu Yadav gets emotional in front of the judge

On Tuesday, the court of MP-MLA special judge Praveen Kumar Malviya granted bail (Pappu Yadav Bail) to Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, lodged in Beur jail, in a 31-year-old case. At the same time, in two other cases, he was taken into judicial custody and sent back to Beur jail. Now he will have to get bail in the cases registered in 2017 and 2026.
Earlier, the MP was produced in the court from jail amid tight security. On behalf of the MP, advocate Vijay Anand and Ajay Kumar, while arguing on the bail petition filed in Gardanibagh police station case number 552/1995, said that due to lack of information and lack of proper advocacy, the bond was broken.
No Tamil report of the bills issued from the court was also received. The government lawyer opposed the bail application and said that earlier also his bail had been canceled in this case.
After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court ordered the release of bail on submission of a personal bond of Rs 10,000 along with two sureties of the same amount. Barring special circumstances, Pappu Yadav was instructed to remain physically present on every date till the execution of the case.
The MP's lawyer filed two separate applications in the court praying for his judicial custody in the two cases. One case is Kotwali police station case number 279/2017, which is related to obstructing government work. The second case is registered as Buddha Colony police station case number 72/2026.
In this too, Pappu Yadav is accused of obstructing government work. In this case, Gardnibagh police station case number 552/1995, when the police reached there for arrest, they refused to arrest and there is an allegation of obstructing the police action. Bail hearing in both the above cases is possible on Wednesday.
A conspiracy is being hatched to kill me:
MP Pappu Yadav sought permission to present his views in the court. On getting permission from the court, he said that I was forcibly discharged from PMCH on Sunday evening and sent to Beur jail. According to the rules, there is no shift in jail on Sunday. I was not treated properly in the hospital. An injection was also given. It seems that a conspiracy is being hatched to kill me.
The accused told the court that he was not even given food in the evening in the jail. A lot of time was also spent in shifting to the ward. Pappu Yadav became emotional while speaking. He has also given two written applications to the court. In which he has given information about misbehavior in jail and death threats by the constable.
