Dead body of Inspector missing from Basti found in Ayodhya.
Samvad Sutra, Ayodhya. The body of sub-inspector Ajay Gaur, posted at Parshurampur police station in Basti district, was found floating in the Saryu river on the border of Ayodhya district on Sunday. This place is the area adjacent to Tihura Manjha of Ayodhya Kotwali. Local boatman Mohri Manjhi, wearing uniform, informed the Water Police, Ayodhya after seeing the body being lowered into the river.
Water police reached the spot and pulled the body out of the river. However, the police do not yet have clear information about the incident site. Ayodhya Police says that the area where the body was found falls in Vikramjot area of Basti district.
Sub-Inspector Ajay Gaur, posted at Parshurampur police station in Basti, was missing since February 5. On Friday, his bike was found abandoned near Amhat bridge located on Kuano river of Basti.
SDRF and police teams were busy searching for the sub-inspector. Ajay Gaur was working as a sub-inspector in Parshurampur police station. That day, due to the police station in-charge Vishwamohan Rai being on leave, Ajay Gaur was also the acting in-charge.
On Friday, his motorcycle was found in suspicious and abandoned condition near the Amhat bridge over the Kuano river. Ajay, a native of Mordih, Kotwali Nagar area of Deoria district, lived in a rented room in Basti city.
It has also come to light that he was under mental stress, but this has not been confirmed. Senior officials of Basti district have also reached the spot. However, his family members have been called for clear identification of the body.
On the other hand, on receiving information about the recovery of the dead body, CO Ayodhya Ashutosh Tiwari, Kotwali Ayodhya in-charge Pankaj Singh, SP City of Basti district and other police officers have reached the spot. It has been learned that Sub Inspector Ajay Gaur's brother is also an administrative officer. The police is waiting for the relatives to arrive.
