Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. An unknown woman ran away leaving the newborn in Vasant Vihar area. In this case, the people living in the neighborhood informed the control room. Police reached the spot after getting information and admitted the newborn to the hospital. The police have started searching for those who abandoned the newborn.
The incident happened on Friday night. Police station head Vasant Vihar Ashok Rathore said that information was received in the control room that the sound of a newborn screaming was being heard on the terrace of a house in Rishi Vihar.
On information, a police team was sent to the spot. The police team immediately admitted the newborn to Doon Hospital. He told that those who abandoned the newborn are being identified. A case is being registered against unknown people in this case.
On the other hand, Dr. Amit, Emergency Medical Officer of Doon Hospital, said that all the tests of the one-day-old child were done. After which he has been admitted to Nikku. The child is currently healthy. Told that at around quarter to eight in the night, the police had reached the emergency of Doon Hospital with the child.
