According to the police, Anees, resident of village Margubpur Didahedi of the police station area, filed a case. It was told that about twenty years ago his sister Hasruba was married to Afzal, resident of Mirzapur Mustafabad. His sister was ill for a year. Husband Afzal used to harass her for money.
On January 24, Afzal, on the pretext of giving medicine, mixed sulfas tablets in water and gave it to his sister to drink. Due to this Hasruba's condition worsened. He was admitted to a private hospital. On receiving the information, the parents also reached the hospital. Seeing the serious condition, the parents informed the police. After reaching the spot, the police interrogated his sister.
Hasruba told the police that her husband had mixed poison in water and made her drink it in the name of medicine. After this, the police called Naib Tehsildar Roorkee to record the statement of Hasruba.
Naib Tehsildar reached the hospital and recorded the statement of Hasruba. Seeing his condition serious, the doctors referred him to AIIMS Rishikesh. Hasruba died during treatment.
After conducting the post-mortem, they buried the body. On Friday, Anees filed a complaint in the police station accusing Afzal of murder. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case of murder and started investigation.
