Delivery boy murdered by stabbing in Pandav Nagar.
Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. A delivery boy was stabbed to death on Monday night in Pandav Nagar area. The delivery boy had a dispute with 3-4 minors. After which the minors attacked the deceased several times one after the other and killed him. With the help of CCTV footage, the police have detained one minor and started searching for others. Arun Raj, a resident of Patparganj, used to work as a delivery boy in an online app. He had gone to Mayur Vihar Acharya Niketan School to make the delivery at around 8 pm on Monday night. Suddenly he was attacked by 3-4 minors. On protesting, he was stabbed repeatedly with a knife on his chest. Another minor also attacked his neck with a knife. All the accused fled from there after committing the incident.
People informed the police, life could not be saved
Local people informed the police about the incident. After this, Arun was taken to LBS Hospital in injured condition where doctors declared him dead. Arun had lost so much blood that his life could not be saved.
Suspicion of murder in protest against robbery
The police suspect that all the accused in the attack are of criminal nature and that Hariya was executed for the robbery of goods being brought for delivery. However, the police is also investigating from other angles.
After the incident, when the CCTV footage present nearby was examined, a minor was seen in a suspicious condition. The police took him into custody. Officials say that initial investigation reveals the involvement of the detained minor. DCP East District Abhishek Dhania said that a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated. The reasons for the incident are not yet clear. The interrogation of the minor is ongoing.
