Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. A delivery boy has been arrested for committing fraud by canceling food orders received from Swiggy company during delivery and selling them at cheaper prices. He was identified as Monu, a resident of Barwala, Hisar. Cyber police caught the accused from Gurugram on Tuesday.
In this matter, the representative of Swiggy company had filed a case in Cyber Police Station East in August 2025. The complaint said that the company has made Rapido its delivery partner for picking up food from the restaurant and delivering it to the consumer. A delivery boy from Rapido received food orders from the restaurant. The order was canceled by giving wrong reasons to the consumer. The company was defrauded by selling it at cheap prices.
According to the cyber police, during interrogation of the arrested accused, it was revealed that he used to cancel the order by calling while taking the order from the restaurant through Swiggy company and delivering it to the consumer. After this, he would sell the same food to the consumer at half the price and keep the money for himself. The accused cheated about ten thousand rupees in this way.
