Digital Desk, Indore. Congress announced a demonstration in protest against the deaths due to contaminated drinking water in the country's cleanest city Indore and the controversial statement of Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on this issue. But before the protest could take place, an order issued by the Sectional Magistrate (SDM) of Dewas district created a stir in the administrative corridors.
The wording used in this order, issued with the aim of maintaining law and order, was beyond official limits and resembled opposition allegations against the ruling party. As soon as the copy of the order reached the Collector and the Divisional Commissioner, there was panic at the higher administrative level. Even before the matter reached the government, the Divisional Commissioner took immediate action and suspended the SDM.
It was written in the order
In fact, Dewas SDM Anand Malviya had imposed the duty of Tehsildar, Revenue Inspector and Patwaris to maintain law and order during the Congress protest. For this, the order issued by the SDM under his signature,
It was written in it - "In Indore, 14 people died after drinking dirty water laced with excreta supplied by the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporation." 2800 persons are recruited. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya's use of indecent comment hour in response to a journalist's question on this sensitive issue is a sign of inhumanity and autocracy. In protest against this, as per the instructions of State Congress President Jitu Patwari, it has been decided that a protest will be held by ringing bells in front of the residences of BJP MPs and MLAs against this inhuman behaviour.
Divisional Commissioner took action
This order quickly went viral on the internet media, after which serious questions started being raised on the administrative working style. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Divisional Commissioner Ashish Singh suspended SDM Anand Malviya along with his reader Amit Chauhan. During the suspension period, Anand Malviya's headquarters will be the Commissioner's Office, Ujjain Division. They will get living allowance as per rules. Whereas Amit Chauhan's headquarters will be Tehsil Office Sonkutch.
In this context, Dewas Collector Rituraj Singh said that the SDM signed the order without properly examining its language and content, which is serious negligence.
