Dhanbad-Chandrapura Rail Route Overhead Wire Trips, Rajdhani Trains Including Intercity Delayed By Hours

Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad/Loyabad. The wheels of trains stopped due to tripping of overhead equipment (OHE) between Kusunda and Katras on Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway route. Due to the incident which took place in the early hours of the morning, Dhanbad-Ranchi Intercity was halted at Dhanbad station for hours. The wheels of other trains also stopped at various stations.

Later, railway personnel arrived from OHE inspection vehicle and started repairing the affected overhead. Departmental officials also arrived from Dhanbad. Rail service was restored after repairs to the overhead wire. Instead of 5:40 am, Dhanbad-Ranchi Intercity opened almost two and a half hours late at 8:15 am.

New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani late by eight and a half hours, arrived in the evening instead of morning

Dhanbad. Due to Magh Mela in Prayagraj, trains on Howrah-New Delhi route have started getting affected. On Wednesday, Howrah and Sealdah New Delhi Rajdhani Express reached New Delhi with a delay of hours.

New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani reached Dhanbad in the evening instead of morning by more than eight and a half hours. The train that started from New Delhi on Wednesday also left late by about three and a quarter hours. Due to this, there is a possibility of late arrival on Thursday also.
