Jagran correspondent, Aligarh. Doctors saved the life of a girl from Hathras, who was suffering from stomach ache and vomiting for six months, by removing a huge bunch of hair weighing about one kilo from her stomach. The matter pertains to Shekhar Saraf Memorial Hospital located on Agra Road.
According to the hospital management, a 12-year-old girl, resident of Naya Nagla Sasni, Hathras, was suffering from the problem of not eating, severe stomach ache and vomiting for the last six months. Even after getting treatment at many places, the real reason was not revealed and it was said that there was a lump in the stomach.
A bunch of hair of about one kilo was found in the ultrasound.
It was even said that if the operation is done then the lump will burst, due to which the girl may even die. Then relatives came to Shekhar Saraf Hospital. Doctors conducted ultrasound and MRI, in which radiologist Dr. Mau. Ashraf found about one kilogram of hair mass (hairball mass) in the stomach, which had become life threatening.
The relative told that the girl used to eat hair while playing. Seeing the serious situation, the expert team decided to operate the hospital the very next day. Successfully pulled out huge clump of hair.
After the operation the girl is healthy and is eating normally. Managing Director Sumit Saraf, congratulating the team, said that thanks to advanced technology and experienced experts, even the most complex operations are successfully carried out here.
