Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. Despite all the claims of security and monitoring in the district hospital, a serious and shameful incident has come to light. It is alleged that the mother of a child admitted in the pediatric ward was raped by the father of the child admitted on the same bed in the same ward. This incident took place in the child ward located on the third floor of the hospital, raising questions on the hospital administration and security arrangements.
This incident is said to have happened around 3:00 am in the early hours of February 3. It is alleged that the woman was first given an injection of intoxicant, due to which she became unconscious. After this the accused committed the crime of 'rape'. When the woman's condition deteriorated after the incident, the staff brought her to the emergency room from the child ward and admitted her.
Emergency Medical Officer Dr. Pawan Kumar provided first aid to the woman. According to the doctor, considering the seriousness of the matter, the first information was given to the Civil Lines police station at around 3:30 pm. In the information sent to the police, talk of intoxication was mentioned. After this, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the hospital for some time. However, this matter cooled down as the day passed.
It is alleged that instead of taking action and taking strict action against the accused, the entire incident was hushed up secretly. It is being told that the woman's husband later hushes up the matter, due to which neither a formal FIR could be registered nor the accused could be detained.
This incident has raised a big question on the security arrangements of the district hospital. There were not enough security personnel present at a sensitive place like the child ward. According to the patients and attendants, anyone reaches the wards at night.
There is no such case of rape in the child ward. The woman had left the child in the ward and gone to get tea. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to the emergency room by the staff. At the same time, preliminary information was also given to Civil Lines police station. Then in the morning when the woman's husband arrived, he said that the person was known to him and he did not have to take any action. Then who could do what in this?
