Three Criminals Who Stole Luggage Of Train Driver In Maurya Express Arrested, Two Absconding

Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. RPF and CIB caught three members of the gang who stole luggage worth lakhs from a railway driver who was traveling with his family in the second AC of Maurya Express going from Gorakhpur to Sambalpur.

Two companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The arrested criminals include Mohammad Sultan Ansari alias Guddu alias Dekchi of Barwadda, Lallu Dom alias Rahman alias Abdul of Govindpur and Imran Ansari alias Danish of Pandarpala. Among those who escaped are Gulzar Khan, resident of Govindpur and Pallu Dom alias Ibrar Ansari, resident of Barwadda. Stolen mobiles, smart watches and ladies watches have also been recovered from them, whose value is more than Rs 1.5 lakh.

RPF officials said that on January 30, railway driver Anami Sharan was traveling in second AC of Maurya Express with her family. Had to travel from Garaul to Jharsuguda with family. His wife's belongings were stolen near Dhanbad station. Bhakti Hogi had lodged a primary complaint in the railway police station. The investigation was being done on a preliminary basis.

Meanwhile, as soon as their location was found near the Eastern Home Signal of Dhanbad station on Wednesday night, the RPF immediately conducted a raid. Five persons were seen there in the dark, three of them were caught while two escaped taking advantage of the darkness. All those arrested are members of the vicious Eclipse and many cases are registered against them in Dhanbad Gomo, Kusunda Railway Station and other police stations.

RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash, CIB Inspector Arvind Kumar Ram, RPF SI Shahina Islam, ASI Jiwalal Ram, Shashikant Tiwari, GRP ASI Nandlal Ram and others were involved in the operation.
