State Bureau, Patna. Taking a big step towards improving education, the state government has decided to develop 55 educational institutions as centers of excellence. This will happen in two phases. In the first phase, 31 educational institutions have been selected for 2026-27. The second phase will take place between 2027-30. 24 educational institutions have been included in this.

Still, out of all 534 blocks of the state, 213 blocks do not have any constituent or affiliated degree colleges. In this sequence, in the first phase, instructions have been given to open degree colleges in all 213 such blocks and start studies by July 2026. The Chief Minister said that it has also been decided to develop the old reputed educational institutions of the state as centers of excellence.
Under this, a total of 55 educational institutions have been selected. Planned action is being taken to upgrade these prestigious educational institutions. Instructions have also been given to take further action after consulting and receiving suggestions from the old experienced teachers and students of these institutions.
