Jagran correspondent, Kushinagar. The young man, who reached home in an intoxicated state, assaulted his mother. After this he consumed the pesticide kept in the house. Died during treatment. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in village Mathiya alias Aktaha under Kaptanganj police station. A day before, he had also beaten his wife, after which she went to her maternal home. Even after being informed about her husband's death, she did not return to her in-laws' house.
It is being told that 29 year old Jayadrath was a drug addict. Every day, while drunk, he used to beat his parents and wife at home. Even on the day of the incident, he reached home in an inebriated state and fought with his mother over some issue. After this, he consumed the pesticide kept in the house for spraying the crop. After some time he fell on the ground unconscious.
Nearby people took him to the Community Health Center, Mathaili, where the doctors declared him dead and informed the Kaptanganj police station. The police interrogated the relatives, but the relatives refused to even conduct the post-mortem of the youth. On Wednesday, he also beat his wife and threw her out of the house.
Angered, she went to her maternal home and did not return even after receiving the news of his death. Police station head Kaptanganj Deepak Singh told that, according to his relatives, he had consumed pesticide kept in the house, due to which he died. They also refused to take legal action.
