Sports Desk, New Delhi. Erling Haaland set a new record for scoring 100 goals in the fewest matches in the English Premier League (EPL) football tournament as Manchester City won 5-4 despite a good comeback from Fulham.

Holland completed his century of goals by scoring the first goal for his team in the 17th minute of the game. This was his 111th match in the Premier League and thus became the player to score 100 goals in the fewest matches in this competition.

He broke the record of England legend Alan Shearer, who had achieved this feat in 124 matches. Manchester City team had a 5-1 lead at one time but after this Fulham made a brilliant comeback. He came close to scoring an equalizer in injury time but Josh King's effort failed.

Haaland expressed his disappointment at Manchester City's performance and told Sky Sports, "This kind of performance is not good and we all know that and we need to improve as a team." In other matches, Newcastle and Tottenham ended in a 2-2 draw while Everton beat Bournemouth 1-0 with a goal from Jack Grealish.
