Investment proposals worth more than three and a half lakh crores in six districts
Rajiv Bajpayee, Jagran, Lucknow: The formation of State Capital Region i.e. SCR is expected to ease business on more than 26 thousand square kilometers of land. Efforts to implement investment proposals worth more than Rs 3.5 lakh crore in the six districts included in SCR may accelerate.
It is being claimed that the train of planned development will run fast in SCR. High-speed inter-connectivity will create planned development and infrastructure for a population of more than two crore, which will be the road map for the next three decades. The infrastructure will create an environment suitable for industries which will generate a large number of jobs and employment opportunities. Along with Lucknow, Barabanki, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli districts are included in the SCR.
During the last Global Investors Summit, investment proposals worth about three and a half lakh crores were received in Lucknow and other five districts included in SCR. Of these, investment proposals worth about Rs 2.5 lakh crore were received in Lucknow. Amausi Industrial Area Secretary and businessman Rajat Mehra says that if the investment proposals are to actually be implemented on the ground, then development and infrastructure will have to be improved. Availability of land along with electricity and connectivity will make business easier.
Mukesh Singh, President of UP unit of Indo American Chambers, says that SCR will provide a huge market in a particular area which will attract investors. Due to connectivity, investors will not hesitate to establish their business in other cities of SCR besides Lucknow.
IIA President Vikas Khanna says that provision of high speed rail and road connectivity is being made between the districts in SCR, which will boost industrial and commercial development by making the transportation fast and easy. This will create a large number of employment opportunities and lead to economic development of the state. The consultant said that the population and settlement pattern of the concerned districts has been studied. On this basis, blueprints for infrastructure and development projects are being drawn.
What are the possibilities in which district in SCR?
Being the capital, Lucknow is a favorite place for investors. Many big projects are already proposed here and many are also on the ground. Ever since the installation of Brahmos missile unit, there is a lot of hope in the defense sector. Apart from this, many big companies are coming to Lucknow in real estate, data centre, hotel, logistics and service sectors. Lakhs of people are also associated with chicken business in Lucknow. There is a turnover of more than one thousand crores. With investment coming in the surrounding districts, the already established businesses in Lucknow will also expand.
Investors will also come to Hardoi
Along with Sant Kabir Mega Textile and Apparel Park being built on 1200 acres on the border of Lucknow Hardoi from SCR, the manufacturing of handloom and readymade garments included in One District One Product will also gain momentum. In the coming time, the district will be a major center in the field of textile and apparel manufacturing. The benefits of SCR should reach all 1293 gram panchayats and 19 municipal bodies of the district and the general public should benefit.
Industrial areas will get lifeline
After joining SCR, the wheel of development of Rae Bareli will run faster. Under One District One Product, investment on factories related to wooden work will increase. The development of 989 Gram Panchayats, 1574 villages, 155 Nyaya Panchayats, one Municipality and 09 Nagar Panchayats of the district will get momentum.
Sitapur also gets big benefit
With Sitapur joining SCR, there is a lot of hope for one district, one product (carpet) and local entrepreneurs (mainly plywood, sugar, ethanol). The possibilities of establishing new dimensions of development in 1588 Gram Panchayats, 2103 revenue villages, six Municipal Councils and 11 Nagar Panchayats of the district are getting strengthened. Carpets and local products will get market.
Hopes increased in Unnao, the city will shine
After Unnao's inclusion in SCR, now there is hope for development to run here too. Entrepreneurs are confident that investor interest will increase with regional development, which will bring glory to one district, one product and local industries. 19 bodies including 1037 Gram Panchayats, 1700 revenue villages, three Municipal Councils will be able to be connected to the main stream of development. Secretary of Unnao Shuklaganj Development Authority, Shubham Singh, says that the notification has been issued, now work will be done on the detailed action plan.
