Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: It is said that if passion gets the right direction then the destination automatically comes closer. The story of Sachin Dabas, who came from an ordinary farmer family of Ghaziabad, is also similar. Where the reels seen on mobile gave wings to his dreams and made him an officer in the Indian Army.
Sachin's father Pappu Singh, who passed out from IMA, is a farmer and mother Anita Devi is a housewife. Sachin, who grew up in a normal family, was fond of watching reels on mobile in his free time.
During this time, videos related to the Indian Army and the lifestyle of the soldiers deeply influenced him. Gradually this attraction turned into passion and Sachin decided to become an officer in the army.
Sachin tells that when he asked his maternal uncle Sunil Singh about the way to join the army, he got information about the CDS exam and the Indian Military Academy (IMA). After this he started preparation with full concentration and discipline.
In this journey, his sister Aarti also encouraged him at every step. The result of hard work and continuous practice was that Sachin got admission in IMA and after completing rigorous military training, he has now joined the Indian Army as an officer.
The eyes of the farmer family were filled with pride when they saw stars decorated on their shoulders during the passing out parade. Sachin says that he is the first person from his family to join the army. His success has given new inspiration not only to the family but also to the youth of the village.
