Jagran correspondent, Rudrapur. The Aadhar cards of the people who are coming to Udham Singh Nagar in search of jobs from other states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kolkata and getting fake Aadhar cards made, will be checked.
This action has been initiated after the busting of a fraudulently operated public service center during the joint action of STF and police in the transit camp. For this, the district police will investigate the public service centers operating in their area along with the intelligence department.
On Wednesday, STF and Transit Camp police station had conducted a raid on information regarding fake Aadhaar card, PAN card and mark sheet being made at a public service center in Transit Camp. Where Chetan Kumar, originally a resident of Rampur and Hall Transit Camp Gaddha Colony, was arrested for making fake marksheet.
During interrogation, it was revealed that he had been running the center in the transit camp for a year. The motive behind this was that the transit camp is near Sidewalk and due to excessive crowding, people from outside states keep coming here for jobs. In such a situation, he used to charge people from outside states by taking the customer's photo through an application, editing their name and address, printing their Aadhaar card and charging exorbitant prices.
During interrogation, he confessed to making fake documents of about 500 people. After which the police and intelligence department will check the Aadhaar cards and other documents of the people from other states including UP, Bihar, Kolkata working in different companies of Rudrapur Sidcul, and will also check the public service centers running in Jaspur, Kashipur, Kunda, ITI, Bajpur, Gadarpur, Dineshpur, Rudrapur, Transit Camp, Kichha, Pulbhatta, Sitarganj, Nanakmatta and Khatima areas of the district.
Along with the investigation of the public service center running in the district, during the verification, the Aadhar card and other documents of the people living in rent from outside states will also be examined. If anyone is found with fake Aadhaar card or other documents, action will be taken against them and those making fake documents through them will also be taken to task. - Ajay Ganapathy, SSP

On Wednesday, the police arrested public service center operator Chetan. During this time, after confirming that fake Aadhaar cards and other documents were made, the police recovered a monitor, printer, CPU, biometric finger scanner as well as nine marksheets, 55 PAN cards and 42 Aadhaar cards.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the brother of arrested Chetan also operates a public service center in the transit camp itself. As soon as the police came to know about this, before Chetan's brother could reach the public service centre, he locked the center and ran away. Police officials expressed the possibility that like his brother Chetan, he too might be making fake documents and Aadhaar cards. All his possible hideouts are being raided.
