Families Of Victims Of Goa Club Fire Demand Death Sentence For The Culprits, 25 People Died In The Fire

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. A demonstration was held at Jantar Mantar on Sunday on behalf of the families of the victims of Goa's club fire. Holding photographs of their loved ones in their hands and anger in their eyes, the relatives of the deceased called it not just an accident but the result of administrative negligence and profiteering. He demanded death sentence for its culprits.

Let us tell you that on December 6, 25 people had died in a fire in a club in Goa. Along with this, about 50 people were also injured. The four deceased were residents of Karawal Nagar, Delhi. The protesters allege that the club owners ran their business illegally by ignoring the law. There was neither trade license, nor fire NOC, nor were safety standards followed.

Advocate Vishnu Joshi, appearing on behalf of the victim's families, said that a separate FIR has been registered on charges of fraud and forgery.

Deepak Kabadwal, the relative of the deceased from Karawal Nagar, Delhi, said that a total of 4 people have died in the house. My sister-in-law was injured. We want that strict action should be taken against the club and the culprits should not be given bail. He also demanded appropriate compensation.
