Despite this, the department has opened the portal for the application of crop assistance scheme for this year. Even after the Cooperative Department has verified the applications for compensation for their crops under the Crop Assistance Scheme, money is not being sent to the farmers.
Ravindra Choudhary, farmer of Sahjauli village, says that 9430 farmers of total twenty panchayats and nagar panchayats of the block had applied online for crop assistance amount.
Till January 3, 8609 applications have been verified through DLCC, while 728 applications are pending due to various reasons. After verification, no action was taken by the Cooperative Department.
Therefore, those farmers of the block who are eligible under the said scheme and their application has also been verified. Now the officers and workers are being asked what happened and when will the crop assistance amount come.
According to former Atma president Rabindra Ojha, the officials are very insensitive towards the farmers. Due to which farmers are not able to get any benefit at the right time. Block Cooperative Officer Dheeraj Kumar said that the applications of some farmers have been verified. There are some farmers left.
If the remaining farmers do not get the verification done, their application will be rejected and all the verified applications will be sent to the district headquarters for further action, so that the amount can be sent to the farmers quickly.
