Rambali Rajwar was brutally beaten by the villagers on the suspicion of being a child lifter in Chirayatand village located in Kichto of Piparwar police station area. The post-mortem has confirmed serious injuries on the head and chest. After conducting the post-mortem, the police have handed over the body of the deceased to the family members.

After receiving information about the incident, the police took the deceased to Bachra Regional Hospital for treatment in critical condition. After first aid at the hospital, he was sent back, but his health suddenly deteriorated during the night. After this the police again took him to Bachra Regional Hospital. Seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to RIMS for better treatment. He died during treatment in RIMS. The deceased was a resident of Barwatoli in Ramgarh district.

According to family members, Rambali Rajwar was suffering from epilepsy and had come to McCluskieganj for treatment. It was told that his mental condition was not good for the last few days, due to which he wandered and reached Kichto village of Piparwar police station area. During this time, the villagers beat him considering him to be a child thief.

The family members were searching for him for the last two days. After getting information about the incident through social media, they reached Piparwar police station, where they got information about his death. in this regard

Tandwa SDPO Prabhat Ranjan Barwar and Piparwar police station in-charge Abhay Kumar said that as soon as information was received about suspicion of child theft, the patrolling team was immediately sent. The police rescued the person from the spot and took him to the hospital and was later referred to RIMS, where he died during treatment. He said that the actual cause of death will be clear only after the post mortem report comes.

Police said that the video footage related to the incident is being examined and the people involved in the beating will be identified and legal action will be taken against them. The SDPO has also appealed to the villagers not to pay heed to any kind of rumor and not take the law into their own hands.
