Jagran correspondent, Noida. The fast and protest of Naga Sadhu Madhav Giri "Cow Baba" was going on for about three weeks outside the authority office located in Sector-6. The authorization ended on Tuesday after assurances from officials.
To end the protest, OSD Kranti Shekhar Singh, Arvind Kumar, Horticulture Director Anand Mohan Singh, Public Health Department Project Engineer II RK Sharma and ACP arrived. Here he interacted in detail with the Naga Sadhus under the leadership of Madhav Giri and heard their problems.
Naga Sadhus said that the authorities should provide us living space and grazing land for the mother cow. Some of his cows were tied in the green belt of Asgarpur village located in Sector-131, which have been opened by the authority. They want that cow back on the spot. There should be provision of water and electricity for these cows.
On this the officials said that you should give us the proposal in writing. On this, Naga Sadhus submitted their written demand letter to the authorities. On this, the officials said that lighting for the cows will be provided by installing street light poles in the green belt of Sector-131. Water will be made available through private water tankers. After this, the Naga Sadhus expressed gratitude to the officials and ended their fast and protest.
