Father and son arrested in arms smuggling in Meerut, two pistols recovered
Jagran correspondent, Meerut. Lisadi Gate police station has arrested arms smuggler father and son. Police have recovered one pistol each from the possession of the accused father and son. According to the police, Islamabad resident Sameer alias Medhak and his father Yusuf smuggle weapons. Sameer has been to jail several times for arms smuggling. Some time ago he came out of jail on bail.
After coming out on bail, Sameer started arms smuggling again. On Tuesday, the police team arrested Sameer and his father from their house. One pistol each has been recovered from their possession. Police station in-charge Ashok Kumar says that a case has been registered against the accused father and son. He will be presented in the court on Wednesday.
Girl molested, assaulted on protest
A young man resident of Lisadi Gate police station area molested a girl living in the nearby locality. When the girl protested, the accused beat her up. Police have registered a case against the accused.
The victim told that Sameer, resident of Vikaspuri, molests her every day. Wherever she goes, the accused follows her. She was going to the market on Tuesday. The accused started molesting her while chasing her. When she protested, the accused beat her. Police station in-charge Ashok Kumar says that a case has been registered against the accused. He will be arrested soon.
