Fear Of Terrorist Attack In Chandigarh, High Alert After Intelligence Input, 24×7 Checkpoints And Intensive Checking

Security has been increased in Chandigarh due to fear of sabotage or terrorist attack. There is an eye on people coming and going from outside.

Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. There is a possibility of terrorist attack in the city. High alert has been issued after input received from the intelligence agency. Blocks have been set up and intensive checking is being done 24 hours.

As per the orders issued by SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, blockade, intensive patrolling and special search operation is being conducted. This decision has been taken in view of the possibility of sabotage or terrorist activity.

According to sources, it has been said that Punjab Police Headquarters and Chandigarh Police Headquarters located in Sector-9 will be targeted. In such a situation, more strictness has been imposed in this area. The number of PCR vehicles has been increased. The police are keeping an eye on suspicious people and activities.

Apart from this, CRPF and local police are jointly checking the vehicles at the checkpoints on the border of Chandigarh. Mobile barricading has also been done. A fully armed commando squad with armor and QRT vehicles has been deployed so that any emergency situation can be dealt with immediately.
