Inspector Ranveer Singh, posted at Vigilance police station in Kanpur, had a dispute regarding land in the year 2021 in Kunwarpurjanu village located in Chhibramau area of police station in Kannauj district. Some people were constructing a wall in front of Inspector Ranveer Singh's house.
The inspector and his relatives opposed this. He said that the wall was being built at the wrong place. The construction of the wall will block their way out of the house. Regarding this, he had first complained to the then Chhibramau police station in-charge Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra and then to the society outpost in-charge Rambadan Burnwal. It is alleged that the outpost in-charge had demanded money for action in the case.
On the contrary, for not paying the money, action was taken against the Inspector and his family members and they were put in jail. In this case, a case was registered against Ranveer Singh and his relatives Shyamveer Singh, Sanjay Singh, Gopal Singh, Dhananjay Singh and challan was issued.
After this, the society outpost in-charge started demanding money in return for settling the matter. The allegation was that Rs 50,000 was demanded in the name of getting the names of the accused revealed. After this, Rs 10,000 more were being demanded. Troubled, Inspector Ranveer Singh lodged a complaint at the Vigilance police station in Kanpur.
On the complaint, Vigilance police station of Kanpur started investigation against the then in-charge inspector of Chhibramau, Vinod Kumar Mishra and the then outpost in-charge Rambadan Burnwal.
Meanwhile, in the year 2023, the case was transferred to Jhansi Vigilance police station. Jhansi Vigilance Inspector Satish Chandra Gangwar conducted the investigation. During the investigation, the relative had handed over an audio clip in which the then outpost incharge Rambadan Barnwal was demanding money.
Apart from this, some more important clues were given, on the basis of which after investigation, the then in-charge Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra got a clean chit and a case has been registered against the then outpost in-charge Rambadan Burnwal under the Corruption Act. SP Vigilance Rajendra Prasad said that after investigation, a case has been registered.
