Fire breaks out in badminton tent in Andal's club
Samvad Sahayak, Jagran, Andal: A sudden fire broke out in the Young Star Club located at number 12 of Andal on Friday night, creating chaos in the entire area. A temporary tent built for playing badminton in the club premises burnt down. Club members extinguished the fire by pouring sand and water. It is being speculated that someone has deliberately set the fire. A temporary tent was built here in the club premises about five years ago, so that there is no impact of water or wind during the game. Local players and players from outside used to practice regularly here every day. However, no one came here to play on Friday night. According to eyewitnesses, a fire suddenly broke out in the tent during the night. Within no time the fire engulfed a part of the tent. As soon as the news of the fire spread, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. Club member Rupesh Yadav said that such an incident has happened for the first time in area number 12. He feared that the tent had been set on fire deliberately. He said that at the time of the incident, some people were having a picnic and eating at some distance away. They did not reach there when the fire broke out, which has further deepened the suspicion. Rupesh Yadav said that the matter has been informed to the police and the police is investigating at its level. He said that only anti-social elements who hate sports activities can commit such acts. At present the police is investigating the entire matter and the culprits are being searched. Panchayat member Ashok Bhagat said that this is someone's bullying. Such an incident is not good for the society.
