After this, the driver tried to control the fire by pouring soil with the help of passersby. Seeing the fire going out of control, informed the fire department. A fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Ajay Kumar, resident of Jagriti Vihar of Medical Police Station area, supports his family by driving a canter. On Sunday night, Ajay Kumar was going back to his home after unloading the goods in Incholi. When he reached in front of Bhagat line, suddenly the wiring of the canter caught fire. Before the driver could understand anything, the entire canter was engulfed in smoke. Seeing this the driver jumped to save his life.
Seeing the fire in the canter, a crowd of passers-by gathered there and started trying to control the fire by pouring soil. Civil Lines police station in-charge Saurabh Shukla says that there is no casualty in the fire. The canter was empty, due to which there was not much damage. The fire brigade controlled the fire in time.
