Death of female leopard in Bengaluru (file photo)
Digital Desk, New Delhi. A female leopard and her unborn cubs died on Thursday, January 1, in the Basavantara forest area near Bengaluru. Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandre has ordered an investigation into this matter. Initially this case seems to be of illegal rock blasting.
The directive from the state forest minister comes after the carcass of a leopard was found during routine patrolling by forest staff of Kaggalipura range under Bengaluru city division.
