Four villagers including father-in-law and daughter-in-law were injured in the dog attack. The dog has attacked two cattle in the village.
On Saturday morning, angry villagers surrounded the dog and killed it. The police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and recorded the statements of the villagers. The condition of the elderly man is critical after being attacked by a dog and he is being treated in the district hospital.
The scene in Neri village late on Friday evening looked different. The dog entered the house of an elderly Krishnakant who was resting on a cot in the house and bit him. Seeing this, his daughter-in-law Sangeeta, who came to drive away the dog, was also attacked by the dog.
After much effort, people chased him out of the house. After which one and a half year old Yash Mishra and four year old Chhotu Maurya, who were passing on the road, were also targeted. Seeing the dog attack, there was a stampede in the village. When people entered the house and closed the door, someone reached the terrace.
The dog also attacked two cattle tied in the village. Angered by this, the villagers surrounded the dog and started beating it. The dog died after being beaten by the villagers. Mukesh Mishra of the village said that Krishnakant has been admitted to the district hospital.
Police reached the spot
The people injured in the dog attack were taken to the Community Health Center Pisawan for treatment. The police was informed there. The police recorded the statements of the villagers. The Animal Husbandry Department was also informed. Paravate has treated animals.
