Giving this information to the senior officials, Mahua Sub-Divisional Police Officer under his leadership organized a vehicle checking campaign near Pansalla Chowk of NH 322. In the same sequence, when the police tried to stop a WagonR car coming from Samastipur, the car driver started trying to run away. Who was caught by the police personnel posted there. When the police searched the seized car, the drug heroin was recovered from it.
SDPO said that in the car, Avinash Kumar Singh, son of Vijay Singh, resident of Deeh Buchauli village of Mahisaur police station area, his wife Sonam Kumari, Dheeraj Kumar, son of Umashankar Singh, besides Chandan Kumar, son of Ramnaresh Singh, resident of Ramnaresh Singh, resident of Ramdiri village of Matihari police station of Begusarai district, were traveling in the car. Police have recovered 440 grams of heroin from them.
Along with this, three mobile phones, Rs 200 cash and three railway tickets have also been recovered. He told that during interrogation, the arrested smugglers have given information about where they bring heroin from and where they consume it. The police has started raiding the hideout mentioned by him. The police is also busy investigating the criminal history of the arrested smugglers.
