In the case, Varun Mangala, a resident of Krishna Colony, told the police that he received a call on March 7, 2025, in which he was invited to an event at Hotel Pappan Plaza. On going there, persons named Alka Rathore and Marvin introduced themselves as employees of Park Gate Vacation Club. He deceived Varun that the company would provide free accommodation and food in the country and abroad for seven days every year for 15 years.

Being persuaded by the accused, Varun took a subscription of Rs 1,40,000, which he paid through credit card. After payment, they were also given documents like booklet, loyalty card and gift voucher. To win the trust, Alka Rathod initially booked a holiday package to Ranthambore in Rajasthan, where Varun also visited. But after this the game started.

The victim alleges that this gang has made many other people its victims along with him. Palwal Police has registered a case against the accused under various sections in Palwal Police Station following the investigation report of the complaint branch.
