Thakur DP Arya, Hapur. UPEDA has prepared a plan to develop the areas on both sides of the Ganga Expressway on the lines of Noida. For this, along with industrial areas, residential and commercial zones will also be created. There are preparations to bring high-rise residential scheme on both sides of Ganga Expressway.
With this, the pressure of vehicles can be reduced on Noida-Ghaziabad as well as Delhi-Lucknow highway. To make Ganga Expressway more useful, it will also be linked to Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah, Jewar Airport in Noida and High Speed Rail Corridor in Meerut.
This is expected to bring benefits in industrial and residential schemes as well as in the field of business and tourism. A plan is being prepared to make most of the movement of vehicles of industries through Ganga Expressway. So that the pressure of vehicles on other roads can be controlled. The Ganga Expressway being built from Haridwar to Prayagraj will not only be a means of vehicular movement, it will prove to be the backbone of the economy and development of the state. The expressway is being built in three parts. In the first two phases, construction has been done from Prayagraj to Meerut. It's almost complete.
In the next phase, the section from Meerut to Haridwar will be constructed. Industrial corridor is to be constructed on both sides of Ganga Expressway. For this, the work of acquiring land is going on at a fast pace. Work is being done to establish industries on both sides of the expressway from Meerut to Hardoi.
Under this, the Khadar area of Ganga will be divided into sectors like Noida. Land is being acquired near the T-point of Ganga Expressway in Hasanpur, around Mangraula, Rustampur Khadar and Daulatpur and in the industrial corridor from Simbhaoli and Sadarpur to Pushpavati in Hapur. Similarly, an industrial corridor was built from Meerut to Prayagraj. Along with this, a decision has also been taken to establish residential sector.
Multi-storey towers will be built along the Ganga Expressway. There are also preparations for making shopping items. With this, the area around Ganga Expressway will be the new destination for people looking for homes in Noida-Ghaziabad, Delhi and Moradabad areas.
Link Expressway will be built on Agra-Lucknow Expressway
The process of land acquisition for the proposed link expressway connecting Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Ganga Expressway in Etawah has started. This approximately 91 km long link expressway will connect both the major expressways near Kudrail. Its construction will ease traffic not only in Etawah but also in the surrounding districts. At the same time, industrial, business and social development will gain momentum.
Expressway will be connected to the rail corridor
There are preparations to connect the Link Expressway of Ganga Expressway being built between Meerut and Prayagraj with the high speed rail corridor. This will greatly benefit local businessmen, tourists and devotees. With this, travel to religious and tourist places of Haridwar, Mathura, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Hastinapur will become easier. The connectivity of high speed rail and expressway is expected to boost business, tourism and development.
The construction of expressway from Bijauli in Meerut to Prayagraj, a distance of 594 kilometers, has been completed. At the same time, a plan has been prepared for the construction of Ganga Expressway Link Expressway to connect Meerut and Hastinapur with Noida International Airport at Jewar. This 74.30 km long link expressway will prove to be the most important route for passengers and cargo landing at the airport.
Work is going on on many welfare schemes along the Ganga Expressway. Industrial and residential schemes will be developed on both sides of the expressway.
