Ghaziabad ranks first in terms of pollution in the country.

Jagran correspondent, Sahibabad. In terms of pollution, Ghaziabad district is coming at the first position among the most polluted cities of the country every few days. The irony is that despite all the efforts, there is no significant decline in the level of pollution. The air of the district was in poor category in Orange Zone on Monday, which was recorded in very poor category on Tuesday. The air quality index (AQI) here was recorded at 337.

Even after monitoring by the Pollution Control Board, the air in the district is not improving. People of Vasundhara and Indirapuram have also accused the Municipal Corporation of not providing spraying. For the last few days, no action has been taken against polluting factories in Loni.

Due to lack of responsibility of responsible departments, Ghaziabad remains at the top among polluted cities. Talking about other stations of Ghaziabad, AQI above three hundred was recorded in Indirapuram, Loni and Vasundhara on Tuesday, whereas due to technical reasons, AQI of Sanjaynagar was not recorded.

No prevention on burning garbage and leaves

Due to cold weather, apart from bonfires, burning of garbage and leaves in the park is not being prevented. If the garbage is collected on time, people will not get a chance to burn it. Ankit Singh, regional officer of Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, said that municipal corporations and municipalities have been asked to stop burning of garbage. He said that efforts are being made to prevent pollution hot spots also.

Vasundhara has consistently been the most polluted among the four stations of Ghaziabad. Here AQI was often recorded in the red zone and the air quality remained in the very poor category. The Pollution Control Board will soon conduct a survey for the poor air quality in Vasundhara.
