Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. The festival of Holi is near. Now the crowd of passengers will start increasing. The Transport Corporation has started preparations to take the passengers to their safe destination. Bus frequency will be increased on Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Haldwani routes. For the convenience of passengers, new helpline numbers of Old Bus Stand and Satellite Bus Stand have been issued. Passengers will be able to get information about buses sitting at home.
642 buses are being run in the four depots of the Transport Corporation region. In the instructions issued from the headquarters, it has been instructed that all buses should remain on route. Holi is on March 4, hence the crowd of passengers has started increasing from March 1 itself. Keeping this in mind, the corporation has implemented the incentive scheme from February 28 and has given instructions to increase the frequency of buses on the routes.
Regional Manager Deepak Chaudhary held a meeting with the Assistant Regional Managers and directed them to operate the buses in a systematic manner during the festival. He has said that the number of buses can be increased on routes where there will be more passengers. The corporation administration has made preparations to increase the operation of buses on Delhi, Lucknow, Agra and Haldwani routes by one and a half times.
The frequency of buses running on these routes will be increased. Enforcement teams will continue to run checking campaigns. Incentive scheme for drivers and conductors has been implemented for nine days. On being present every day and driving the prescribed average km, a lump sum special incentive amount of Rs 3600 will be paid at the rate of Rs 400 per day.
Whereas those who do duty continuously for ten days will be paid a lump sum of Rs 4500 at the rate of Rs 450 per day. Similarly, in depot and regional workshops, employees working for ten consecutive days on duty will be paid an incentive amount of Rs 2100, while those working for nine days will be paid Rs 1800.
Regional Manager Deepak Chaudhary has directed ARM Bareilly Depot Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava and ARM Rohelkhand Depot Arun Kumar Vajpayee that along with increasing the income of the corporation, attention should also be paid to providing safe travel to the passengers. For the convenience of passengers, new helpline numbers of Satellite Bus Stand and Old Bus Stand have been issued.
