Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. Recently, on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi government had resolved to ensure the provision of clean water, toilets and bathrooms in the slums.

Under this, South Delhi MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri laid the foundation stone for the construction and renovation of toilets for more than 12 slums in his area at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

He said that this will not only make cleanliness and sanitation possible in slums, but will also ensure the safety and dignity of women. Also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for providing funds quickly.

He told that Prasad Nagar slum of Badarpur area, Indira Camp of Srinivaspuri in Kalkaji, slum camp behind Okhla Railway Station, six slums of Harkesh Nagar ward in Tughlakabad, Sanjay Colony, New Sanjay Camp, Indira Kalyan Vihar, two slums of Pul Prahladpur ward - slum near Mata Mandir and behind petrol pump and Janta Jeevan Camp of Deoli area and Dakshinpuri. Toilets will be built in slums.
