Dialogue thread, Pipraich. Class 11 student Sudhir alias Bhola, who was teaching his cousin to ride a bike, was shot dead in the playground of Cooperative Inter College on Friday afternoon. The cousin saved his life by running away. The circumstances of the incident went out of control. The angry family members and villagers reached the house of the accused with the dead body, where they created a ruckus and vandalized it.
SSP Rajkaran Nayyar reached the spot and assured to take action against the accused, then the family members allowed the police to take away the body. The situation calmed down after about two and a half hours. Pipraich police have detained one suspect, while raids are underway in search of one of his two named associates. Many people have been detained for questioning. Due to the proximity of the houses of the accused and the victim, heavy police force is deployed in the village.
17 year old Sudhir alias Bhola was a resident of Garhwa alias Munderi village. The main accused Dayanand alias Chhotu is his neighbor and his house is located just 50 meters away. Sudhir's mother Rajkumari told that there was a dispute going on between the two for the last two-three days. There was an altercation between Sudhir and Dayanand during a feast three days ago. It was told that at one time both of them were preparing to join the force and also used to practice running in the grounds of Cooperative Inter College.
According to the police, on Friday morning also there was a dispute regarding a status posted on WhatsApp. It is alleged that Sudhir had posted the status of the song “Rifle se khunta thokla, hamare ghar se rangadaran ke dal-roti jaala”, which led to an altercation. A few hours later in the afternoon, Sudhir reached the school playground to teach motorcycle riding to his cousin Golu. At the same time, Dayanand alias Chhotu came from behind with his two companions.

It is alleged that as soon as he reached near, Dayanand pointed a pistol at Sudhir's chest and shot him. As soon as the bullet hit, Sudhir fell on the ground and died on the spot. After this the attackers also targeted Golu and opened fire, but he ran away making noise. As soon as people heard the sound of firing, nearby people gathered at the spot, by then the accused fled away. After the incident, there was chaos in the school and the school was closed.
On getting information about the incident, the family members reached the accused's house with the dead body on bike and started vandalizing it. When the police arrived, they started pushing and shoving. A suspect was taken into custody after an altercation. During this time, Dayanand's mother was also surrounded by the crowd and some members of the victim's family lay down under the police vehicle. Considering the seriousness of the situation, forces from nearby police stations were called. The family members have accused Dayanand and four youths, one of whom is a minor, of murder. Two others are being identified.
It has come to light that a young man was shot dead over a dispute over putting status on WhatsApp. A suspect has been detained. The search is on for the main accused and his two other associates. Soon all the accused will be arrested.
