Jagran correspondent, Patna. Train for children is going to start again in Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park. It is likely to start from next month. Adult tourists along with children will also be able to visit the zoo in the train. Approval has been given to declare the Wildlife Sanctuary in Kaimur as a Tiger Reserve.
Along with preserving biodiversity, eco-tourism will also be promoted in the area. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Dr. Pramod Kumar said these things in a press conference held at Patna Zoo on Wednesday.
He said that after the declaration of three new Ramsar sites this year, there are now a total of six Ramsar sites in Bihar. Bihar is continuously working in the field of conservation of wetlands. Pramod Kumar said that a green corridor will be developed from Patna to Dobhi.
In this, sycamore, peepal, pakad and other fruit trees will be planted on both sides of the road. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the plan to develop eco-tourism at 20 places in the state will also be implemented soon.
He said that so many trees are being cut in the name of development. In their place, plantation is also being done on a large scale. The minister said that in rural areas, there is a lot of damage to crops due to horse fleas. All DFOs have been instructed to take action against this. Under this, 50 horses can be shot at one time.
For this, there is a provision to give Rs 750 per animal to the shooter and Rs 1250 to those who bury the dead animal. PCCF PK Gupta of the department said that Reptile Incubation cum Interpretation Center will be constructed in Bagaha. This center will become an important center for research, conservation and public awareness in the future.
