Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Sadar Hospital Muzaffarpur Negligence: A case of negligence that puts humanity to shame has come to light in the Mother-Child Hospital located in the Sadar Hospital premises.
After operation delivery, a pregnant woman was forced to climb 19 stairs in the name of important documents without her stitches being cut properly. Hurt by this inhuman treatment, the family members of the pregnant woman have complained to the hospital superintendent.
Ragni Kumari, a resident of Deoria, told that she was admitted to the Mother-Child Hospital on January 5. She was discharged from the operation after delivery, but the discharge slip was not given on the bed itself. Later, the ambulance driver took him to the superintendent's office located in the hospital premises and asked him to go up and get the signature done.
The relatives opposed this and said that the operation had just taken place and the stitches had been cut, so climbing the stairs was not possible. Despite this his views were not listened to.
The pregnant woman was forced to climb the stairs. After climbing about nine stairs, she stopped tired, but it is alleged that the ambulance driver from behind pressurized her to hurry.
Somehow the mother climbed 19 stairs and reached the accounts office, where the deployed personnel handed over the necessary documents. While returning the mother became emotional. He said that after climbing up, now we will have to come down again. Taking the name of God, she somehow came down.
Vijay Kumar, who was present with the pregnant woman, said that she was harassed for about two hours just for the documents. He alleged that expenses had to be incurred even in the name of Neg during the delivery. Now somehow they are feeling relieved after getting permission to go home.
Superintendent admitted the mistake, ordered investigation
In this matter, Sadar Hospital Superintendent Dr. B.S. Jha said that any pregnant woman should be sent home directly from the bed. If signature on any document was necessary then the concerned employee should have gone to the bed. He said that an investigation will be conducted on whose instructions this happened. After taking the report from the manager, strict action will be taken against the guilty employees.
