Guldar Found Dead In The Field In Chaukhutiya, Almora, Fear Of Mutual Conflict; Forest Department Is Investigating

Seeing Guldar in the field, panic spread among the villagers, after which the forest department was immediately informed about it. As soon as the information was received, Forester Rahul Kumar from Dwarahat Forest Range Division reached the spot with the team and inspected the spot.

The Forest Department team took the dead Guldar in its custody and took it to the Forest Range Office, Chantharia, where the post-mortem is being conducted. According to preliminary information, Guldar is male and his age is estimated to be around four to five years. The length of Guldar is 7 feet and height is 2 and a half feet. Looking at the wounds and circumstances, it is feared that he may have died during a conflict between wild animals. However, the actual reasons can be confirmed only after the post mortem report comes.

Sounds of fighting came from the forest at night, forest department took the dead body in its possession and started investigation.

Pandit Jugal Joshi, a resident of the village, said that around ten o'clock on Thursday night, loud sounds of animals fighting among themselves were heard from the forest behind. At that time the villagers thought it was a normal forest activity, but the seriousness of the incident was revealed after seeing the dead body of Guldar near the field in the morning.

Forest department appeals to villagers to remain alert

The Forest Department has appealed to the villagers to remain alert and patrolling has been increased in the area. Officials say that the activities of other wild animals nearby are also being monitored, so that the villagers can be kept safe from any possible danger. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report.
