The actress worked in Hindi cinema for 70-80 years. Kamini Kaushal, who entered Hindi cinema with the movie 'Neecha Nagar' in 1946, played lead and character roles on screen. As successful as his film life was, he had to endure equal pain in his love life. Despite having two-sided love, she had to marry her elder sister's husband. Kamini Kaushal was the youngest daughter of her family.

Before telling you about the painful love story of Kamini Kaushal, let us tell you that she was the oldest actress of Bollywood, who died on 14 November last year. Kamini Kaushal was born in the year 1927 in Lahore. She was the youngest of two brothers and three sisters. His father Shiv Ram Kashyap was a professor at the University of Punjab, Lahore during the time of British India. When Kamini was just 7 years old, her father passed away.

Recalling the old times, Kamini Kaushal had told that when she was young, she did not have a crush on anyone. She used to do swimming, riding and skating. He also did 'Aakashvani' on radio, for which he got Rs 10.

Was forced to marry brother-in-law

When Kamini Kaushal was young, her elder sister died in a car accident. He had two younger daughters, whose names were Kumkum Somani and Kavita Sahni. To fulfill the responsibility of her elder sister, Kamini Kaushal had to marry her brother-in-law BS Sood in 1948. While working in films, she set up her home in Bombay (Mumbai), where her husband was the Chief Engineer at the Bombay Port Trust. Kamini Kaushal welcomed three sons after 1955, namely Rahul, Vidhur and Shravan.

Dilip Kumar and I were completely heartbroken

Kamini Kaushal was married to BS Sood, but despite this she had fallen in love with Dilip Kumar. About which he himself had told in his biography. According to the report of Times of India, she had said in her biography, "Both of us were completely heartbroken. We were very happy with each other because our bonding was very good, but this is life. I cannot leave anyone and say that enough is enough, I am leaving. I had the responsibility of those girls. I could never show my face to my sister. My husband was a good man, so he could understand why it happened. Everyone can fall in love."

Not only Kamini Kaushal, but Dilip Kumar had also admitted in his autobiography that he was attracted towards the actress while working with her. He had also described Kamini Kaushal as his first love.
