Cauliflower becomes costlier in Haldwani market. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Haldwani. There has been a decline in the prices of other vegetables except cauliflower in the market. Potato, tomato and onion have become cheaper in the wholesale market. There has been no significant change in the prices of peas. At the same time, cauliflower has become twice as expensive. The reason for this is the almost stoppage of arrivals from Rampur area and increase in the cost of arrivals from Punjab.
These days vegetables are being supplied from the plains. Only peas are coming from the mountains, which are being sold at Rs 60 to 70 per kg. The remaining peas are being sold at the rate of Rs 20 to 25 per kg.
Naveen Mandi trader Jeevan Singh Karki said that tomato was being sold at Rs 40 to 42 per kg a few days ago, which has reached Rs 22 to 23 per kg after the arrival of local tomatoes.
