Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has assured to take decisive steps for promotion of Jal Shakti Department employees, especially pump operators, and to resolve other service related problems. He clarified that the government will fulfill the just demands of every category of employees of Jal Shakti Department on priority basis.
He announced that soon a joint general meeting of all categories of employees of Jal Shakti Department will be called. In this meeting, all issues including promotion, pay discrepancy, problems at workplace will be discussed and solutions will be chalked out on the spot. He himself will monitor this entire feedback process.
While talking to the employee delegation, Mukesh said that pump operators are the backbone of the Jal Shakti Department. Technical hurdles in promotion of eligible employees will be removed soon.
Will speed up pending processes
The pending processes will be speeded up by reviewing the vacant posts and promotion quota in the department. Told the senior officials of the department that files related to the welfare of employees should not be withheld unnecessarily. Officers have been ordered to prepare a detailed outline of the problems of the employees and ensure a phased solution.
