State Bureau, Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will launch several important initiatives of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan on Saturday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the newly constructed Vidya Samiksha Kendra along with the launch of LEP 2.0. Education Minister Rohit Thakur will be present in the program as a special guest, while Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar and senior officials of the Comprehensive Education and Education Department will also be present.

Weak students will be brought into the mainstream

This program has been designed in accordance with the objectives of inclusive education, the main aim of which is to bring educationally weaker students into the mainstream. The module of LEP 2.0 will act as an effective guide for teachers and students, making teaching more simple, structured and outcome-focused. About one-fourth of the students in government schools of the state need additional support in their studies.

Evaluation will be done on module basis

Through LEP 2.0, level appropriate and time bound support will be provided to such students, so that they can be at par with other students. Regular evaluation of students will be ensured on the basis of modules, which will be monitored through Swift Chat App and Vidya Samiksha Kendra.

Remedial books will be provided

Teachers will be provided with remedial books and individual and customized support will be given to each student as per his/her learning need and level. Special arrangements have been made to promote digital practice at home, which will make studies more interesting. It is an important educational intervention which aims to improve the learning level of weaker students. Director of Holistic Education Rajesh Sharma said that along with launching the LEP on Saturday, the Chief Minister will inaugurate all the state-of-the-art facilities developed in the Vidya Samiksha Center and the Holistic Directorate.
