History Sheeter Who Had Gone To 13th Class Shot Dead In Jaunpur, Chhotu Was Released On Bail

Jagran correspondent, Jaunpur. 24-year-old Swadhin Singh alias Chhotu, a resident of History Sheeter village, who was in thirteenth class, was shot dead on Tuesday night in Babura village of Badlapur Kotwali area. While the incident created a sensation in the area, there was an uproar among the relatives. On the spot, police from several police stations including ASP Atish Kumar Singh were busy investigating the case. There are 17 criminal cases registered against Chhotu. Recently he was released on bail.

Chhotu had gone to the house of Brijbhan Tiwari of the same village to receive the thirteenth birthday invitation along with his elder brother Sanidhya alias Lucky. On receiving a call from someone, he went to the pond situated on the border of the village about three hundred meters south. Where the miscreants shot him at his temple. The young man accompanying him came and informed. There was a stir as soon as the news was received.

The relatives took him to the CHC in an injured condition, where seeing his condition serious, the doctors referred him to the district hospital. Doctors in the hospital confirmed the death. The death created an uproar among the relatives. On the spot, forces from several police stations including ASP Atish Kumar Singh, CO Sunil Chand Tiwari, SWAT team got involved in the investigation. Police have been deployed in the village as a precautionary measure. Father Vijay Kumar Singh Bijju was shot dead in broad daylight on Shahganj Road on 26 June 2004.

Swadhin, a youth who had gone to Terhi, was shot on his right temple. A total of 17 criminal cases are registered against him. A case will be registered on the complaint of the relatives. The matter is being investigated.
